DTG
Soft, Detailed Prints for Small-Batch Apparel

What is DTG
Direct-to-garment printing, or DTG, is a print method that works much like an inkjet printer made for apparel. It prints directly onto the garment, making it a strong option for detailed artwork, complex designs, and small-batch projects.

Benefits
- Soft feel with detailed, photo-realistic print
- No large-order commitment
- Great for complex artwork and small runs
Works Best On
- Small batches and detailed designs
- Photo-realistic artwork on cotton shirts
- White or natural-colored tote bags
Limitations
- Best on 100% cotton (or close to it)
- Does not work as well on polyester
- Maximum print range is 16" x 20"
How It Works
The garment is usually pretreated first, especially if it is a darker color. Pretreatment helps the ink stick properly to the fabric. Once the garment is prepared, the design is printed directly onto the shirt, then cured using a dryer, heat press, or both.
Specialty Options
- Small-batch shirt printing
- Photo-realistic designs
- Complex artwork
- Cotton apparel
- Tote bags
Flexible Pricing for Any Quantity
DTG is unique because there are no screens to make and no color setup fees. You pay per print, which makes it perfect for small runs, samples, and on-demand orders — though larger volumes still offer better per-unit value.
